Understanding Real Estate 101

I was going over a few events and issues that have been presented to me and I was thinking - "Wow! What a learning Experience!"

On more than one occasion I have been asked what exactly is the process for Real Estate.  

On the last instance I really begin to realize that in-spite of a flow chart and game plan for a home purchase there really does NOT seem to be a magical way that removes any bumps along the way.

I was thinking and after a few hours of some mental jumping jacks I thought I had a pretty good example of what someone can expect in any given Real Estate transaction.

The story goes this way,...

If you want to go from point A to point B and want to do it the fastest and safest way possible most of us will take a plane and let the pilot do all of the "driving"

And during these flights, no matter how many bumps or weird sounds or "Buckle Your Seat Belts" lights come on we NEVER run up to the cockpit grab the pilot and toss him out and try to fly the plane our selves.  

The very idea of reacting this way is quite silly - besides if we ever attempted such nonsense we would be barred from flight for a very long time and may end up spending some time in a very cramped cell - without any of the in-flight peanuts.

This is how Real Estate works.  Every transaction is going to have some bumps along the way. But the reason people work with a Realtor is that we are the most experienced people to have "In The Cock-Pit" and all we ask is that our clients strap in and ride out the bumps we experience along the way.

The ride wont kill us, we will be just fine when we finish.  Trust us.  We are the experienced pilots in these situations and all we ask is that you stay in your seats for the remainder of the ride.

So to all of you new clients who are wondering about the flight path we just embarked on, do not worry.  You WILL be okay.  Let the pilots do the flying.
